Job Description/Purpose

To assess, monitor, and manage the ecological impacts of industrial activities within the mine site.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and implement ecological monitoring programs to assess the impact of activities on local flora, fauna, and ecosystems.
  • Conduct field surveys to gather data on biodiversity, habitat quality, water quality, air quality, and soil conditions.
  • Gather and analyze environmental data to evaluate the effectiveness of environmental management plans.
  • Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations for stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
  • Implement corrective actions or mitigation measures to address environmental issues identified during monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international environmental regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., operations, engineering) to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and execution.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of environmental management plans (EMPs) and environmental impact assessments (EIAs).

Key Achievement
